The Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh
explained the highlights of the 41st Indian Association of Tour Operators National Annual Conference to be held in Visakhapatnam from 10th to 12th of this month.
The Minister said that it is a great opportunity for the state’s tourism sector to host this prestigious conference that brings together leading tourism representatives, tour operators, hoteliers and policy makers from across the country on one platform.
IATO, a leader in in-bound tourism with more than 2,068 members across the country, has launched a special drive to enhance the participation of AP tourism partners.
He said that the one-time admission fee of Rs. 10,000 (+ GST) that tour operators, hotels and tourism partners from Andhra Pradesh had to pay to become members of IATO have been completely waived.
This concession is applicable to applications submitted till December 31, 2026. The conference registration fee, which is usually Rs. 6,000 for IATO members and Rs. 8,500 for non-members, has been reduced to just Rs. 3,000 for AP representatives. It was suggested that eligible local tourism representatives can apply online through the IATO official portal https://iato.in/Register/form without paying any initial entry fee.
Minister Durgesh said that more than 1,000 leading in-bound tour operators, domestic travel companies, destination management companies, hotel sector representatives and airline representatives from all over the country will attend this conference, which will provide free promotion of hotels, resorts and tourist destinations in AP at the national level and provide an opportunity to establish direct business relations with the country’s leading tour operators.
