Finally, the coalition government has identified seven fishermen from Konaseema district of Andhra Pradesh who went fishing in the sea for the last 25 days and are now in West Bengal.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan have been alerted about the missing fishermen and the government revenue NDRF police teams are working day and night to trace the fishermen. Mainly, Minister Acham Naidu is the one who monitors their whereabouts from time to time..
The service done by the Konaseema district collector in tracing the whereabouts of the fishermen is amazing, the way the collector and his team managed to trace them by constantly monitoring the search teams from time to time is amazing.
Seven fishermen from Konaseema district have been confirmed safe on the West Bengal coast, said District Collector Dr. R. Mahesh Kumar. He assured their families that there is no need to worry after getting information about the well-being of the fishermen.
The Collector said that seven fishermen, who had gone for sea fishing from the port on the 3rd of this month, reached the West Bengal coast after a technical problem arose in the boat they were travelling in. The district administration and fisheries department officials took coordinated steps to trace the fishermen, and they were confirmed to be safe there.
He said that the officials spoke to the boat owner’s brother Bhavani Prasad and confirmed the details of the fishermen. The Collector said that they were able to know their well-being information with the coordinated steps taken by the government and the district administration to trace the fishermen.
The District Collector said that necessary steps are being taken to bring the fishermen safely to their hometowns from West Bengal. He said that they are continuously coordinating with the concerned authorities for this.
Dr. R. Mahesh Kumar said that the district administration gives utmost priority to the safety and welfare of the fishermen. He made it clear that all necessary measures will be monitored until the fishermen reach their homes.
