Andhra Pradesh government employee unions, who have been agitating over pending dues for some time, have expressed happiness over the successful conclusion of their talks with the Chief Minister.

Stating that employees are an integral part of the government and the government will always stand by them, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today announced several key decisions to resolve the pending issues of government employees.
The Chief Minister today held discussions with the leaders of the employee unions and announced several decisions. The leaders of the employee unions expressed satisfaction over these announcements.
Approval for the formation of the 12th Pay Revision Commission (PRC). Payment of two pending dearness allowances (DA) from October 1, 2026.
Release of DAs due from July 1, 2024 and January 1, 2025. Agreement to deposit the surrender leave amount for the year 2022 in the accounts of employees by the upcoming Sankranti.
Payment of one additional surrender left to police personnel on the occasion of the upcoming Dussehra festival. Implementation of additional pension amount from January 2027.
Pensioners above 70 years of age will get an additional 10 percent pension, while those above 75 years of age will get an additional 15 percent. The Employees’ Health Scheme (EHS) will be regularized. From next month, the government will make monthly payments to the NTR Vaidya Seva Trust.
These decisions announced by the Chief Minister will put an additional burden of Rs. 2,880 crore on the government exchequer annually.
The Chief Minister reiterated that the government will continue to work for the welfare and well-being of the employees, while taking practical steps to resolve their problems.
The leaders of the employees’ unions expressed satisfaction over several decisions taken after holding discussions with the leaders of the employees’ unions.
