GSLV-F17/EOS-05 Mission The launch of the GSLV-F17 rocket launched by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota was successful
It lifted off at 2:55 am on Friday. Satellite: The most advanced Earth observation satellite EOS-05 weighing about 2,367 kg was placed into a sub-geosynchronous transfer orbit.
ISRO revealed that the satellite successfully separated from the rocket 19 minutes after taking off from the launch pad.
These cameras monitor the country’s border areas quickly and clearly. ISRO scientists said that it can detect cyclones, floods and earthquakes within minutes and issue early warnings. It also continuously monitors crop health and changes in land use.
