The first day of the holy rituals at the Srivari Temple in Tirumala has begun with a grand opening – the Swami will be seen strolling through the four streets of the temple and giving darshan to the devotees.

The sacred ceremonies at the Tirumala Srivari Temple began on Sunday according to the scriptures. The first day, the sacred pratishtha was performed.

On this occasion, Sridevi and Bhudevi were taken to the Yagasala in the sacred mandapam along with Sri Malayappa Swamy in the morning. Homas and other Vedic rituals were performed there.

Later, a ceremonial Snapana Thirumanjanam was performed in the Sampangi Prakaram. In this, a special abhishekam was performed with milk, curd, honey, sandalwood, turmeric and other fragrant substances.

On this occasion, Vedic scholars recited the Panchasuktas. After this, the sacred pratishtha was performed. In the afternoon, a special offering was made to the Swami and Ammavar.

Later in the evening, Sri Malayappa Swamy, along with Sridevi and Bhudevi, will take a walk in the four mada streets of the temple and give darshan to the devotees. Vedic programs will be held in the Yagasala at night.

Tirumala Sri Sri Sri Sri Peddajiyar Swamy, Sri Sri Sri Chinnajiyar Swamy, TTD EO Muddada Ravichandra, Additional EO C.H. Venkaiah Chowdhury, TTD Board Member Nannapaneni Sadashiv Rao, Srivari Temple Deputy EO Lokanatham, and other officials participated in this program.
