AP State TDP President Palla Srinivasa Rao said that every generation has a responsibility to remember the sacrifices of the great men who sacrificed their lives for the independence of the country. The real purpose behind celebrating Independence Day every year is to remember their sacrifices, he said
A 32-meter-high electronic national flag was unveiled at the Mangalagiri TDP central office on the occasion of the 80th Independence Day celebrations today.
He said that along with the joy of independence, the tragedy experienced by crores of people during the partition of the country should not be forgotten. He said that the families who migrated from their native places in bundles and lakhs of people lost their lives are also a part of Indian history.
He clarified that the biggest responsibility of this generation is to protect democracy. He said that once we fight foreign rulers, today we have to fight against mindsets that trample on democratic values and consider power as supreme. He called on the people to teach such people a lesson in a democratic manner.
People should be very vigilant while choosing leadership. Palla said that for the last two years, the state has been rebuilt while protecting democratic values under the leadership of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu.
He said that TDP will continuously work until the goal of Swarnandhra Pradesh is achieved by 2047 in this spirit. He said that building a harmonious society, religious harmony and protecting democracy are the true tribute to the freedom fighters. He explained that the national flag is not just a symbol, it is a symbol of introspection of what the country has given us and what we have given to the country and the state.
Wishing all the Telugu people of the country, state and the world a happy Independence Day, Palla Srinivasa Rao made it clear that TDP will fulfill its responsibility in the construction of Swarna Andhra.
A large number of party leaders and activists participated in these celebrations, which were organized to show patriotism and national spirit. Later, the 30-meter-high Telugu Desam Party flag was unfurled.
