To provide employment opportunities to women, the production of fragrant incense sticks from waste flowers on the lines of TTD,  will be officially launched on November 3rd at the flower nurseries in Kadiyam, Andhra Pradesh, in collaboration with DRDA-SERP.

A new project under the ‘Temple Essentials Entrepreneurship Development Program’ will soon be implemented in the Kadiyam mandal with the aim of providing self-employment and entrepreneurship opportunities to women by making value-added products by utilizing flower waste available in temples and kadiyam nurseries.in East Godavari district Andhra Pradesh.

This project was decided by Rajamahendravaram BJP Member of Parliament Smt. Daggubati Purandeswari, and the program is being conducted under the auspices of DRDA-SERP, East Godavari District in coordination with Fragrance and Flavor Development Center (FFDC), Kannauj, and ALEAP organizations under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.

It is expected that by converting floral waste into a source of income, it will not only provide employment opportunities to women but also contribute to environmental protection.

The Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of India (ALEAP) will train women with experts on how to process floral waste collected from temples and nurseries in scientific ways and make value-added products such as incense sticks, dhoop cones, havan equipment, natural perfumes and others.

The official inauguration of this training program will be held on September 3 at 10 am at the GNR Convention Hall, Kadiyam. The program will be inaugurated by Smt. Daggubati Purandeswari, Member of Parliament for Rajamahendravaram.

Local MPP Elugubanti Venkata Satya Prasad, ALEAP representative Sunitha, APD Mutyam Naidu, DPM Hemanth, DRDA-SERP staff, members of women’s savings associations and others participated in the program.
