The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandra Babu Naidu said that 33 percent reservation has been provided with the aim of ensuring that women play a key role in all sectors.
Last year, one lakh DWCRA women became MSME entrepreneurs and this year that target has been increased further. That the government will provide marketing facilities for the products manufactured by DWCRA women through the ‘Swayam’ brand.
He said that the SC, ST and minority communities continue to face economic and social backwardness and the government is taking steps to bring these communities forward economically and socially.
Chandrababu Naidu, who participated in the NTR Bharosa pension distribution program in Mogalthur in Narsapuram assembly constituency on Tuesday.
He said that the coalition government is giving priority to welfare, development and good governance with the primary goal of economic empowerment of the poor. The Chief Minister said that increased pensions are being provided to senior citizens, widows, disabled and other categories. So far, Rs. 73,507 crore has been distributed to the poor through pensions, while Rs. 1.50 lakh crore has been spent on welfare programs in the last two years.
The government is working to reduce economic inequalities and ensure that everyone lives a dignified life. Efforts are being made to improve the living standards of the people through P4. He said that in support of aqua farmers, electricity is being supplied at the rate of Rs. 1.50 per unit.
The Chief Minister said that Andhra Pradesh aquaculture products should be developed to compete with other countries in the global markets. He said that the government is exploring a system to make government services available online to 1.60 crore families in the state.
He said that rural development is possible only when local bodies are strong. Chandrababu said that along with MLAs and MPs, ward members and sarpanches should also be active participants in governance.
He said that the work of Aquaculture University, Dump Yard and Delta modernization will be taken up. Chandrababu Naidu said that it is impossible to defeat the NDA alliance whenever elections are held in the state.
Ministers Nimmala Ramanaidu, Gottipati Ravikumar, Deputy Speaker Raghurama Krishnam Raju, Union Minister Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma, Whip Bolisetty Srinivas, Thota Seetha Rama Lakshmi and other leaders participated in the program.
