A key development has taken place in the Supreme Court(Delhi)  in the illegal assets case of YSRCP  Chief  YS Jagan.  The CJI bench transferred the hearing on the petitions filed by TDP MLA Raghuramakrishna Raju to another bench.

Earlier, TDP MLA Raghuramakrishna Raju filed separate petitions to cancel Jagan’s bail and shift the trial from Hyderabad.  CJI Justice Sanjiv Khanna’s bench conducted an inquiry on this and changed the hearing bench on the petitions.

Justice Sanjay Kumar is a member of the CJI bench.  Jagan’s lawyer Ranjith Kumar said that these petitions belong to Andhra Pradesh.

On behalf of the CBI, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta asked for some time to file the counter in view of the changed circumstances.  In this order, Justice Sanjay Kumar said ‘not before me’ and the CJI transferred the petitions filed by Raghuramakrishna Raju to another bench.

The registry was ordered to be sent for hearing on December 2 before a bench headed by Justice Abhay S Oka.
