Signaling a key development towards better connectivity to the capital city of Amaravati, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today inaugurated the Amaravati Seed Access Road and steel bridges connecting the old Vijayawada-Guntur highway. With the inauguration of the bridges connecting the Seed Access Road, direct access to the capital city of Amaravati will become easier and more convenient for motorists.
The Chief Minister said that Amaravati will be developed as a world-class capital following five principles – a city without electricity poles, a blue city with abundant water bodies, a green city with greenery everywhere, a green energy city and a deep tech knowledge city with a developing quantum valley.
Chandrababu Naidu said that some had mocked the Amaravati plans as mere ‘graphics’, but those designs are now becoming a reality. “When graphics become reality, those who mocked them should bow their heads,” he said.
The Chief Minister said that through decentralized growth, the government has planned development not only for Amaravati but also for all parts of the state. He recalled the farmers’ movement that took place between 2019-2024. He said that history will not forget their struggle and that he and his party stood by the farmers during that movement. He said that as a sign of blessings for the capital, water and soil from sacred rivers and important places across the country were brought and mixed in Amaravati.
The Chief Minister said that the Seed Access Road has now become the “royal road” for the capital Amaravati and its completion is just the beginning of the city’s development. He said that in its third phase, this road will be connected to the national highway at Tadepalli.
He said that Amaravati will be developed as a completely pollution-free city, a deep-tech capital and there are plans to turn it into an AI and quantum computing valley. The Chief Minister said that the corporations of Amaravati, Mangalagiri, Tadepalli, Guntur and Vijayawada will be in the capital region.
The Chief Minister said that the Centre has also sanctioned a 190 km Outer Ring Road and a 96 km Inner Ring Road.
He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the full-fledged Amaravati capital, which India adores, in 2028.
The Chief Minister called on the people to take a collective resolve to make Andhra Pradesh a Golden Andhra by 2047 and contribute to the development of the state and the country. Referring to the 80th Independence Day celebrations, he urged the people to take the national flag in their hands and set measurable goals for the future with a clear agenda.
He said that just hoisting the national flag is not enough, the real goal should be to put India at par with the leading countries of the world. He said that farmers, students, workers, industrialists and professionals should contribute through their efforts in their respective fields.
Naidu called for hoisting the national flag on every house and commercial establishment. He urged the people to organize tricolor rallies at the mandal, assembly constituency and district levels. He described the tricolor rallies as a people’s movement. He said that India should become a developed country in the next 21 years and Andhra Pradesh should become a golden Andhra by 2047.
The Chief Minister appealed to the people to share their ideas for the development of Amaravati. He said that this capital should become the financial capital of the state. He called on everyone to take inspiration from Independence Day and work towards building a healthy, prosperous and happy Andhra Pradesh.
Later, the Chief Minister inspected the completed residential complex for MLAs and MLCs in Amaravati. The Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) formally handed over the newly constructed residential complex to the General Administration Department by the Chief Minister. Located in Rayapudi, this complex has 12 towers with 288 flats.
