In Hyderabad and Secunderabad, some unqualified fake doctors are providing medicine and fake medicines to the people and running fake hospitals with fake certificates. The Secunderabad Regional Task Force officials, with the help of the police personnel of the area, raided the fake hospitals running with fake certificates and arrested 11 fake doctors and seized a large amount of fake medicines from them.
In these raids, fake certificates, thousands of expired injections, medicines, prescription letters, dharma meters, and stethoscopes were seized from them.
Medical experts said that these raids will continue and that the fraudulent practices of fake doctors and some unauthorized people who mix their own medicines in tubes and give them to patients are punishable by death.
Meanwhile, it seems that the city centers and MRI centers are also preparing to take action against those centers that have prescribed such tests by unqualified people, as many have already undergone expensive tests recommended by such unqualified people.
Although there are allegations that the same trend has been going on in Andhra Pradesh for years, due to the lack of proper crackdowns on them, there are allegations that they are making huge money from their fake medicine and charging higher bills than corporate hospitals, thereby becoming a burden on poor patients.
In a city in the state, an Ayurvedic doctor sent a retired district level officer of the Information Department to an MRI lab center in Suryarao Peta, Vijayawada on 1-6-2023 and spent 10 thousand (including sticks) and prescribed an MRI on the same day at 3.31 pm. The report came back saying that he could give any medicine or do any surgery in Ayurveda to cure his wife’s knee pain and his back pain. He complained that he had taken more than six lakhs from them and there was no result.
It is learnt that there are also possibilities of attacks on those who are cheating the people by giving unlicensed medicines. There are also some suspicions about prescribing medicines in carry bags for patients in ICU in some hospitals.
