Due to taking a bribe in a land dispute case in Gudivada.  Present  Rajahmundry Two Town CI Durga Rao,  has been suspended by the  Inspector General of Police (IG).

Rajamahendravaram Two town CI V. Durga Rao has also been suspended by police officials yesterday. The Inspector General of Police (IG) has issued orders to suspend the  C I as Gudivada Town CI after he was found guilty in a bribe collection case.

According to the details given by the police, currently the Two  town CI  of Rajamahendravaram  East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh .  Eluru Range IG Ashok Kumar issued  suspending orders on  Durga Rao for taking a bribe in a land dispute case._

In 2022, when Durga Rao was performing his duties as the second urban CI of Gudivada, he received a complaint on a land dispute and settled the dispute for Rs 30 lakh in respect of two communities._

At this time, in favor of those who gave the money, they forcibly took some documents from the complainant and gave them to the opposite party. The complainant asked the CI to return those documents, and CI  demanded money.

The IG said that the victim approached the ACB and after the investigation revealed the crime, a criminal case was filed against the CI and he was recommended to be suspended.
