ANDHRA PRADESH : The Eluru POCSO Court sentenced a man to life imprisonment for brutally raping a minor girl – the court said that those who commit sexual crimes against girls have no place in society —- the people of the state congratulated the Eluru police for delivering justice.

The Eluru POCSO Court yesterday sentenced the accused to life imprisonment for brutally torturing and raping an eleven-year-old minor girl, tying her up with ropes, lighting a gas cylinder in the house and setting the house on fire.
The court reiterated that those who commit sexual crimes against girls have no place in society and such criminals will face severe punishment.
According to the details given by the police,
On the night of October 21, 2015, the accused, Vadlamudi Balakrishna (39), a resident of Kamma Gangannagudem, Dwaraka Tirumala mandal, committed the inhuman crime against an 11-year-old girl in Subhadrapalem village.
He beat the victim’s father unconscious with an iron rod and also attacked the victim’s mother. After this, he raped the minor girl.
In a desperate attempt to destroy evidence, he tied the victim’s hands and feet, opened a gas cylinder and set the house on fire. Despite suffering severe burns, the victim bravely reached her relatives’ house and narrated the crime.
Based on the complaint filed by the victim’s relatives, the Dwarkathirimala Police (Cr. No. 118/2015). registered a case and investigated. After examining the circumstances of the case, the judge found the accused guilty on all charges and sentenced him to fifty years of imprisonment (which may extend to his life) and ordered a compensation of ₹3,00,000 to the victim under various sections.
The case was investigated by former DSPs of Eluru, Ms. Saritha and Mr. M. Venkateswara Rao, who collected scientific evidence and filed a strong charge sheet.
