A horrific accident at Vijayawada Pandit Nehru Bus Stand has filled the city with deep sorrow.

While a bus belonging to the Avanigadda RTC depot was coming out of the bus stand, Borra Girish of Chiralaku (Borra Vari Palem) was looking at his mobile phone screen and was completely absorbed in it and walked across it without noticing the bus coming.

Before he could alert himself, he fell under the wheels of the bus, the heavy wheels ran over him and he lost his life on the spot.

This unexpected incident caused a commotion at the bus stand and on receiving information, the police reached the spot and recovered the body.

Based on CCTV footage, the police initially identified that the accident occurred due to the man driving carelessly while looking at his phone.

The body of the man was shifted to a government hospital for postmortem and the bus driver responsible for the accident was taken into custody.
