The alliance is working hard to win every seat and is giving top priority to coordination between candidates and party workers, said TDP state president Palla Srinivasa Rao. He said that several meetings have already been held with the alliance partners and a broad understanding has been reached on the seat allocation.

The issue of reservations has become crucial in finalizing the seat allocation arrangements.  Since the issue of 34 percent reservation for BCs is pending in the Supreme Court, clarity on reservations will come after the Supreme Court’s verdict, including BC and OC categories.

If reservation is not legally possible, the TDP will take steps at the party level to provide 34 percent representation to BCs, he said.  He said that the NDA alliance partners are also committed at the party level to provide 34 percent representation to BCs.

The party is working to identify candidates who have a strong understanding of local conditions, close ties with the people and a grasp of development-related issues.

The elections will be held jointly with full coordination among the NDA alliance partners. On the occasion of the completion of two years of the coalition government, more opportunities will be provided to the party workers who have worked tirelessly for the TDP and the alliance in the next two years.

We will not ignore the leaders and workers who worked day and night to bring the party to power. Palla stressed that the TDP and NDA workers will work together to ensure the victory of the alliance candidates in the local body elections and to demonstrate the strength of the NDA alliance.
