Varla Ramaiah has clarified that the allegations made against the liquor scam during the YS Jaganmohan Reddy government are not politically motivated allegations at all, and the statement given by the then Special Chief Secretary of the Excise Department, Rajat Bhargav, in court is irrefutable proof of this.
The official statements given by retired IAS officer Rajat Bhargav, who served as the then Special Chief Secretary of the Excise Department, and Jagan’s own appointed Special Officer D. Satya Prasad before the magistrate under 164 CrPC (new BNSS 183), is the strongest evidence of Jagan’s corruption.
It was revealed that Rajat Bhargav had covered up all the irregularities of the past in these statements, which have unchallengeable legality in the court. Ramaiah said that Rajat Bhargav clearly stated that the base price of liquor was increased drastically just to collect huge bribes, and that the then Chief Minister YS Jagan himself put extreme pressure on him to issue the relevant GOs.
This testimony made it clear how he abused his power while in the position of Chief Minister. Rajat Bhargav revealed that the entire liquor racket was carried out under the direct supervision of the then CMO officials Dhanunjay Reddy, Krishnamohan Reddy and Praveen Prakash.
He said that the liquor racket that took place during the YSRCP regime was the biggest scam in the history of Andhra Pradesh. He was furious that this was not a simple crime, but a pure genocide committed by the previous government.
Isn’t Jaganmohan Reddy the mastermind of this entire racket and the real ‘ultimate beneficiary’ of the loot of thousands of crores? And why is the SIT trying to delay interrogate him? Jaganmohan Reddy, who has earned thousands of crores of rupees by risking the lives of the poor, must be brought to justice.

Varla Ramaiah has demanded that YS Jagan come forward and reveal the facts at a time when such serious allegations are being made.
