Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu commented that technologies like quantum computing and artificial intelligence should contribute to the development of the state and the country.
He said that the quantum computing sector is being identified as a future technology and a quantum valley is being set up in Amaravati. The Amaravati quantum computing center will start functioning by December this year.
It was revealed that quantum testing facilities have already started functioning in AP. Representatives of the international full-stack quantum computing company Quantum, including CEO Rajib Hazra, paid a courtesy call on the Chief Minister at the State Secretariat.
The CEO of Quantum Company discussed with Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on forming strategic partnerships to make Amaravati Quantum Valley a key hub for research including quantum innovation.
Quantum Company has expressed interest in partnering with AP to develop a world-class ecosystem in line with the National Quantum Mission. The CM suggested working on quantum skills, AI-enabled quantum applications, advanced computing research, and startup incubation technologies. CM Chandrababu Naidu clarified that while IT was previously promoted, now their goal is to provide rapid solutions to problems through AI and quantum technologies.
The Chief Minister said that Amaravati, AP is the best place for quantum research. Representatives of Quantum Company explained to the Chief Minister that they are ready to provide cooperation in the production of quantum computer devices as well as algorithms in AP. The event was attended by the Vice President of the organization, Sitaramakrishna, Director of the Amaravati Quantum Mission, CV Sridhar and others.
