Andhra Pradesh TDP chief Palla Srinivas said that the YSRCP, unable to digest the rejection of the people in the recent municipal elections, is completely abandoning the rules of democracy and resorting to rowdyism to suppress the verdict of the people.
Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and his party leaders have been accused of widespread violence, booth capturing and intimidation tactics during the ongoing MPTC and ZPTC elections across the state, and have severely criticized the YSRCP.
He said that the YSRCP, unable to digest the rejection of the people in the recent municipal elections, is completely abandoning the rules of democracy and resorting to rowdyism to suppress the verdict of the people.
After the NDA alliance won 95 per cent of the urban local bodies and the YSRCP suffered a crushing defeat, the party realised that the rural field level verdict would not be any different.
Unable to digest this victory, Jagan Mohan Reddy deployed his party goons to create chaos and scare voters away from polling stations, he said. In Errapalli village of Pulivendula constituency, petrol bombs were hurled at polling stations to terrorise citizens standing in queues, he said.
Srinivasa Rao also blamed Kadapa MP Y.S. Avinash Reddy and Jagan Mohan Reddy’s close family members for entering polling booths in Kadapa district in direct violation of Election Commission rules.
YSRCP has imported anti-social elements and goons to rig votes and harass local residents, Palla Srinivasa Rao said. The people of Rayalaseema will not be afraid of petrol bombs and threats, he said.

Voters are coming out in large numbers to support the coalition government, Srinivas Rao said, adding that Jagan Mohan Reddy should keep his workers under control and respect the democratic verdict.
