CM Chandrababu said that a historic program has been launched in Madanapalle with the aim of developing Rayalaseema at the highest level. With the support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, we are developing the drought-prone region into a global horticulture hub with an investment of Rs. 1 lakh crore.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu clarified that the horticulture sector plays a key role in the growth of the primary sector and is moving forward with the aim of achieving another Rs. 1 lakh crore GVA through this sector, which currently contributes about Rs. 1.50 lakh crore.

The foundation stone of the Global Horticulture Hub-GHH and Indian School of Agriculture-ISA was laid in Madanapalle, Annamaya district on Friday.
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, Reliance Industries Executive Director Anant Ambani and Minister Nara Lokesh unveiled the stone plaque.

Through this Global Horticulture Hub, 5,860 villages will be developed into 201 clusters and an additional 6 lakh acres of horticulture will be expanded in this project. CM Chandrababu said that the main purpose of the Horticulture Hub is to provide comprehensive support to farmers from production to marketing, processing and exports.

He said that irrigation projects like Handri-Neeva, Galeru-Nagari are being completed and the Handri-Neeva canal has been completed at a cost of Rs. 3,500 crore and water has been taken up to Kuppam. He explained that the first phase of Veligonda has been completed and water has been provided to Markapuram and Anakapalle through the Polavaram left canal.

CM Chandrababu specifically mentioned the support provided by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to the state and the country’s infrastructure projects. He said that the Center is supporting projects such as Amaravati, Visakhapatnam, Polavaram and others. The CM said that Nirmala Sitharaman is the iron lady who is strengthening the country through reforms in the country’s economy.

Reliance Industries Executive Director Anant Ambani was a special attraction at the event. He gave an emotional speech expressing his attachment to Andhra Pradesh. He asked the Chief Minister to consider him as a Muddhu Bidda of Andhra and to guide him in what he can do for the state.

After Anant Ambani’s speech, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and Minister Nara Lokesh congratulated him. Later, CM Chandrababu hugged Anant Ambani affectionately.

After that, the Chief Minister responded to the words spoken by Anant Ambani. The CM announced on the stage that Anant Ambani is considered the darling of Andhra Pradesh. He wished that Reliance would become a greater partner in the development of the state.

After the program, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, CM Chandrababu, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, Minister Nara Lokesh, and BJP AP President PVN Madhav planted saplings. Ministers Atchannaidu, Payyavula Keshav, BC Janardhan Reddy, Ramprasad Reddy, senior officials of various departments, Annamayya district public representatives, and officials participated in this meeting.
