TDP State President and Gajuwaka MLA Palla Srinivasa Rao have instructed the officials to organize the inauguration of Bhogapuram International Airport, which will go down in golden letters in the history of Uttarandhra development, in a grand manner.
Palla Srinivasa Rao personally inspected the arrangements at the field level in Bhogapuram regarding the inauguration of the airport to be held by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on August 1.
On this occasion, Vizianagaram District Collector, Krishnababu, who is acting as the special officer for the inauguration of Bhogapuram Airport, inquired about the detailed details of the arrangements from Palla.
The Prime Minister’s visit route map, security arrangements, construction of the assembly premises, entry and exit routes of the people, parking plan, vehicles as well as the infrastructure required for the attending public and other issues were discussed extensively with the officials.
Palla suggested that every arrangement should be completed with utmost care as around three lakh people are expected to attend the inauguration. He advised the officials to work in coordination with all the departments without any possibility of any inconvenience and to make this program, in which the Prime Minister will participate, a success that will be discussed across the country.
He said that Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s foresight, determination and administrative ability were reflected in every stage of Bhogapuram International Airport, from the idea to permissions, land acquisition, foundation stone laying, construction and inauguration. He said that Bhogapuram International Airport is a living testament to Chandrababu’s vision.
Palla said that Bhogapuram International Airport is a state-of-the-art greenfield airport built not only for today’s needs but also keeping in mind the needs of the coming decades.
This airport, built equidistant from Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts, will enable people from the three districts to reach the airport in 45 to 60 minutes, he said, adding that it will be a strong foundation for the comprehensive development of Uttarandhra.
Along with the airport, 500 acres are being allocated for MRO, aviation manufacturing, logistics and skill development sectors, making Uttarandhra a leading aviation hub in the country, Palla said. He said that this project will rapidly develop tourism, IT, industries and service sectors, providing direct and indirect employment opportunities to thousands of youth.
