Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has made it clear that the main goal of the government is to provide quality education in government schools. Participating in a mega parent-teacher meeting held in Rampachodavaram, Polavaram district on Friday, he said that significant changes have already begun in the government education system.
He said that once there was a situation where students would go to private schools from government schools, but now the fact that 110,000 students from private schools are joining government schools is a testament to the increased confidence in government education. If the marks of students decrease, it will reflect on the performance of the education department, he said.
He said that children in tribal areas are like gems in the soil and if given the right opportunities, they will create miracles. The Chief Minister said that education is the greatest asset that parents can give to children and that education is the reason why Telugu people excel all over the world. The Chief Minister called on both the mother and father to take equal responsibility for the development of children.
It was suggested that fathers should also attend parent-teacher meetings along with mothers. CM Chandrababu said that it is the teachers and parents who build the future of the students, which is why Mega PTMs are being organized across the state.
He revealed that residential schools will be expanded in tribal areas.
The Chief Minister clarified that the government is taking strict steps to curb the use of marijuana and drugs. He expressed concern that families are being destroyed due to drugs. He said that marijuana cultivation is being stopped in agency areas and horticultural crops are being encouraged. He reminded me that Araku coffee has been given international branding.
He said that Polavaram will be made the No. 1 district… He reminded that in 2000, GEO No. 3 was brought… and that we stood by to provide jobs to local tribals. But in 2020, the Supreme Court annulled that GO… We are discussing this now and the CM made it clear that the coalition government will stand by the tribals. He said that the government’s goal is to prepare students from the Polavaram region to serve the world.

Local public representatives, senior education department officials, district officials and employees participated in this program.
