IndiGo Airlines has brought good news to the passengers of Vijayawada International Airport. IndiGo sales representatives have announced that new flight services will be launched from Vijayawada from August 13, 2026, connecting Vijayawada with the spiritual city of Varanasi and the historical city of Kolkata.
The official poster in this regard was unveiled by State Tourism Minister Varyulu Kandula Durgesh at his camp office in Vijayawada.
On this occasion, Minister Kandula Durgesh expressed happiness over the start of direct flight services from Vijayawada to the cities of Varanasi and Kolkata. He expressed hope that these services will not only save a lot of time for passengers, but will also contribute greatly to the development of tourism and business sectors. IndiGo representatives said that these services will be available on certain days of the week (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday).
Going into details, flight number 6E 6502 will depart from Vijayawada Airport at 6.20 pm and will reach Varanasi at 8.15 pm. Earlier, Minister Durgesh said that IndiGo flight number 6E 6501 will depart from Varanasi at 3.55 pm and will reach Vijayawada at 5.50 pm.
Similarly, flight number 6E 6502 will depart from Vijayawada at 6.20 pm and will reach Varanasi via Varanasi at 10.15 pm. He said that the flight number 6E 6501 will depart from Kolkata at 2.10 pm and will reach Vijayawada via Varanasi at 5.50 pm.
