The birth anniversary of the founder of the era, Gurujada Venkata Apparao, has been declared an official state festival by AP Government.
The government is taking appropriate steps to transform his residence in Vizianagaram into a beautiful auditorium. He said that the government is officially organizing the birth anniversaries of many great people who have contributed to the well-being of the society and passing on their aspirations to future generations.
Today, the book launch of “Bhagirathi – Unique Painter of Nature” was held grandly under the auspices of ‘Bhagirathi Art Foundation’ at the Sri Damerla Rama Rao Memorial Government Art Gallery in Rajamahendravaram. Minister Kandula Durgesh, who attended the event as the chief guest, launched the book.
Representatives of Bhagirathi Art Foundation, prominent literary figures, artists and art lovers from various fields participated in the event in large numbers. Later, “Memorial & Special Awards – 2026” were presented to several prominent figures who have made outstanding contributions in the fields of literature and art.
