The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet today passed a special resolution congratulating Narendra Modi, who started his reign as the Chief Minister of Gujarat (October 7, 2001) and continued as the Prime Minister of India for three terms, on the occasion of completing 25 years of continuous public leadership.

The resolution was introduced in the cabinet meeting held today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu at the AP Secretariat in Amaravati.

While Chief Minister Chandrababu praised Modi’s policy decisions and reform agenda, the entire cabinet approved the congratulatory resolution.

The AP resolution broadly echoes the Union Cabinet resolution that described Modi’s 25-year term (2001–2026) as an “extraordinary journey” under the motto of “Nation First, Citizen First”.

25 years under Modi’s leadership
October 7, 2001: Narendra Modi was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Gujarat.

2014–2026: He served as the Prime Minister for three consecutive terms, leading the NDA to victory in the 2014, 2019, and 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

The Union Cabinet resolution cited his major initiatives in areas such as welfare (Jan Dhan, housing, poverty alleviation), infrastructure, technology, national security, and foreign policy as part of his 25-year rule.

Today’s Andhra Pradesh Cabinet resolution formally recognises this milestone by the state government and is in line with the broader NDA narrative of Modi’s long tenure.
