Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, who has not been able to adapt to the weather and is also not taking into account his age, once again inspected the cyclone-affected areas through an aerial survey and met the people and farmers of the state himself, listened to the suffering and hardships they are facing due to the twin cyclones and assured them that the government will fully support them and advise them to be courageous.
The damaged drains in the Jillelamudi bridge area of Bapatla mandal on the road, and later the flooded paddy fields with farmers , Jillelamudi village of Pattipadu constituency will not be inspected along with the farmers. Local people said that the Murasu cyclone has caused a lot of trouble in Guntur, Bapatla and Prakasam districts.
The coalition government acted as a timely inspiration
Winds gusting to more than 120 kmph. Twin cyclones ‘Arnab’ and ‘Murasu’ devastated 20 districts. The way the AP government faced the severe cyclones that struck in a single week has become an example for the country.
No matter how big the natural disaster was, it was not insignificant in the face of the government’s vision and advanced strategies. It responded in time during the disaster, effectively prevented loss of property and life and brought the state safely to shore.
The Chief Minister’s technical expertise, long experience and unparalleled dedication have reaffirmed that Andhra Pradesh is under safe leadership today, providing complete protection to the people even in the most adverse situations.
This was possible only as a result of the continuous department-wise monitoring of ministers, precise advance plans by special secretaries and IAS officers, and the tireless collective efforts of thousands of government staff at the field level.
Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA) and Real Time Governance Society (RTGS) have been a lifeline for the people from the severe cyclones. Through advanced planning, advanced technology like ‘Manamitra’ and comprehensive preparedness, these two organizations have played a crucial role in minimizing the loss of property and lives by coordinating various government departments quickly.
RTGS and Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA) have been monitoring 24/7 as a control room and have predicted the intensity of ‘Arnab’ and ‘Murasu’ and the exact areas where they will cross the coast. By sending warning alerts to the mobile phones of the people of the affected districts using artificial intelligence and satellite information, the field level machinery and the people have been alerted in advance.
The comprehensive coordination between NDRF, SDRF, Police, Electricity, Revenue and other departments provided by RTGS – APSDMA has yielded results. The trees and poles that fell on the roads were removed just as the cyclone crossed the coast, and the traffic was restored in record time, bringing normalcy to the people.
The officials responded immediately to the complaints and appeals received from the people on the ‘Manamitra’ WhatsApp application and the toll-free numbers of the Disaster Management Organization. They stood by the people by providing quick solutions to the problems faced by the people and providing relief measures quickly.
As part of the preventive measures, the NDRF, SDRF, Police, Fire and Revenue personnel shifted lakhs of people to safe rehabilitation centers. The government machinery worked effectively in providing necessary food, drinking water and medical facilities to the victims there.

The government’s determination, proper use of advanced technology, and the dedication of the RTGS and disaster management personnel have successfully managed to ward off both cyclones. The central team that came to observe Cyclone Arnab also opined that the state has set an example for the country in disaster management.
