In the wake of the cyclone impact on North Andhra, the Real Time Governance Society (RTGS) in the Secretariat has been put on full alert. RTGS officials are constantly monitoring the weather changes and the field conditions in the districts from the RTGS Command Control Center.

RTG Department Secretary Bhaskar Katanneni and RTGS CEO Prakhar Jain reviewed the situation in the cyclone-affected areas. The Aware department has been tracking the changes in the weather and the movements of the cyclone in real time and has made arrangements to send that information to the affected districts from time to time.

Details such as which areas will be most affected by the cyclone, the condition of the reservoirs, and how much water can be in their catchment areas are being sent to the districts from time to time and alerted. With the cyclone likely to cross the coast near Kalingapatnam, the district administrations of Srikakulam, Vijayanagaram, Parvathipuram, Manyam, Visakhapatnam, Alluri Seetharamaraju and Anakapalle have been specially alerted. The district administration is being alerted in advance by identifying the areas in Srikakulam where flash floods are likely to occur.

The Aware department is sending regular information and warning messages to the people on their mobile phones about the movements of the cyclone and its impact. In addition, the senior officers of the respective departments, the staff conducting flood relief activities at the field level, and even the officials of the Swarna Ward and Swarna Gram Secretariat are also receiving information related to the storm conditions and rains on their mobile phones from time to time.

Thus, it is being made easier to carry out relief activities in the respective areas. RTGS Deputy CEO Dr. M. Madhuri, Executive Assistants P. Srikar, K. Chaitanya, D. Akhil and others are reviewing the situation in the respective districts and reporting to the senior officers.

RTGS officials said that people can also know the weather conditions and cyclone movements in real time from their location through their mobile phone through their Aware website and app. They can know the impact of the cyclone, the intensity of the rains and the weather changes related to their area at any time from their location. For this, they can visit the website https://aware.ap.gov.in/dashboard or download the Aware app.
