The state Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Forest and Environment Shri Pawan Kalyan has instructed the forest department officials and the public to be extremely vigilant in the wake of the tiger roaming around Chagallu village in East Godavari district.

The villagers were advised to take appropriate precautions as per the instructions of the forest department officials after the tiger was spotted among the crop fields near the village. The tiger’s movements and the steps being taken to safely capture it were reviewed with the forest department officials.

It was clarified that precautions should be taken to prevent any loss of life and information regarding the tiger’s movement should be continuously shared with the public. People were appealed to refrain from going alone to the fields and showing enthusiasm to see the tiger directly, and to strictly follow the instructions issued by the forest department officials.

Since the tiger is roaming outside the forest area, the officials were instructed to take all necessary steps to safely capture it.  It was suggested that Hanuman teams should be deployed in the areas where the tiger roams and its movements should be constantly monitored. It was clarified that this entire operation should be coordinated under the supervision of the Zonal Conservator of Forests.
