World-class eye care center in Amaravati

Another prestigious institution has been set up in the capital Amaravati. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu performed the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of the LV Prasad Eye Institute at Abbarajupalem in Tullur mandal. Later, the foundation stone was unveiled and the construction work was started.
The LV Prasad Eye Institute will be built on 12 acres under the name of Sudha and Venkat Jasthi Campus. The hospital will be built to provide eye medical services to about 3 lakh people annually. Along with treatment, the institution will also focus on ophthalmology research, training and community health programs. A special Eye and Brain Center will also be set up.
Addressing a public meeting after the groundbreaking ceremony, the Chief Minister said that it is a matter of pride that a prestigious institution like LV Prasad Eye Institute has come to Amaravati, which is being built at a rapid pace. He said that the institution, which has already provided 3 crore eye treatments, will provide more extensive services from Amaravati.
He hoped to make the Amaravati center the best ophthalmology research institute in the world. He asked for it to become a world-class center in the fields of eye treatments as well as research and training. The CM said that LV Prasad Institute is playing a key role in providing eye care to the poor.
He said that it is providing services through 319 centers in four states. He said that the organization is working to provide timely treatment to people through the Digital Health Eye Profile. He said that the establishment of an Eye and Brain Center in Amaravati is commendable. The CM congratulated GN Rao and Jasti Venkat, who are working hard for the development of the organization.
The CM said that after IT, they have focused on quantum computing. The country’s first quantum computing center is being set up in Amaravati.
He said that a quantum computer with a capacity of 133 qubits is being set up in partnership with IBM, TCS and L&T. He revealed that quantum computers will be set up in various universities on October 3.
Chandrababu said that a Pan-IIT conference will be held in Vijayawada on October 3. He said that experts who have studied in various IITs in the country and have settled around the world will participate in this conference and exchange ideas.
He said that Pan-IIT is working to achieve the goal of Vikasit Bharat by 2047. The CM said that Amaravati will become a center for modern technology and innovation in the future. He hoped that the capital will become a destination for world-class living standards and research.
