AMARAVATI NOV 29. – Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has stressed the need for technology, leadership, policy integration, upskilling, universities and innovation for good governance to win the trust of the people.
He called for revolutionary changes in administrative systems and institutions to fulfill the aspirations of the people and harness the opportunities offered by emerging technologies like artificial intelligence. He said the next 20 years are crucial for India’s development and urged government employees to continuously upgrade their skills through capacity building programmes.
Addressing the Mission Karmayogi workshop organised by the Capacity Building Commission in Vijayawada today, the Chief Minister said that India has immense opportunities, advanced technologies, talented youth and growing aspirations.
He said that the main challenge to fulfill these aspirations is to strengthen the administrative systems and institutions. He cited the rise of Narendra Modi from a tea seller at a railway station to the Prime Minister of the country as a prime example of capacity building.
The Chief Minister said that to ensure continuous skill development among government employees, Prime Minister Modi has launched the iGAT-Mission Karmayogi programme through the Capacity Building Commission. This online training platform will enable officers and employees to regularly improve their capabilities. He stressed that government employees from the state level to the field level should undergo continuous training to provide quality public services.
He congratulated the Andhra Pradesh government machinery for completing two crore courses through the iGAT Karmayogi portal, which has helped the state achieve the top position in capacity building.
He said that technology, administrative procedures and coordination between government departments should be integrated to improve the quality of public services. Continuous exchange of information between different departments will enable faster decision-making. It also helps in identifying and resolving problems before they turn into crises.
The Chief Minister highlighted the crucial role of government employees in responding to natural disasters, organizing festivals and implementing major public programmes. He appreciated their dedication to public service, even sacrificing time with their families. He said that their services should never be ignored.
In recognition of the excellence shown under the ‘Mission Karmayogi’ programme, Andhra Pradesh has bagged the first position at the national level in the capacity building of government employees.

Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu presented the award to Principal Secretary, Finance Department Piyush Kumar and Executive Director, AP State Development Planning Commission Alaparthi Venkateswara Rao. Swacha Andhra Pradesh
