The coalition government has responded to the fact that the honorariums of MPTCs and ZPTCs across the state have not been paid for almost 3 years and should immediately release funds and pay them, said West Godavari District – Local Bodies Legislative Council Member Vanka Ravindra Nath.
In this regard, he handed over a memorandum to the State, Panchayat Raj & Rural Development Commissioner Krishna Teja today.
Ravindra Nath brought to the notice of the Commissioner that the salaries of the elected representatives of rural local bodies have been pending for a long time.
He expressed that the majority of MPTCs come from the weaker sections of the society, including a significant number of women field leaders who serve the people in difficult economic and social conditions. Denying them the minimum respectable salary they are entitled to would damage their dedication and financial dignity.
At a time when the state government is preparing for the upcoming local body elections soon, the non-payment of these dues is deeply disappointing. He stated in the memorandum that if the field representatives who have completed their full term are denied their basic dues, it will affect the upcoming local body elections. He stated.
It is within the financial capacity of the Andhra Pradesh government to allocate the estimated budget for the arrears of salaries to be paid to about 9,984 MPTCs and 660 ZPTCs.

Therefore, the government should intervene and release the pending honorarium to MPTCs and ZPTCs, appealed to the Ravindranath to Coalition Government.
