Financial aid of ₹2 lakhs for MBBS studies
State Bureau Chief Hyderabad September 24 KTR has stepped in to support Kondeti Akira from Wardhannapet, Warangal district, who was facing financial difficulties in continuing her medical education. He provided financial assistance of ₹2 lakhs to help her pursue her MBBS studies.Akira is the daughter of Kondeti Bhaskar and Anita from Wardhannapet town. After completing her 10th standard at the Social Welfare School in Thurrur and her Intermediate education at Ambedkar College in Khammam, she secured an All-India rank of 2,99,946 and an SC category rank of 27,865 in the national medical entrance exam. She subsequently secured admission to the MBBS program at Maheshwara Medical College in Patancheru. Journalist Bollepaka Rajesh brought the financial challenges regarding her medical education to KTR’s attention via Twitter. Upon learning of the situation, KTR responded and promised to provide financial aid for her studies. True to his word, KTR handed over ₹2 lakhs in financial assistance to Akira at Telangana Bhavan on Monday. He expressed his desire for Akira to become a doctor in the future and stated that he would stand by poor students facing any obstacles in pursuing higher education. Furthermore, KTR assured her of continued support until she completes her medical education. Akira stated that the financial assistance provided by KTR gave her the confidence to continue her medical education. Akira’s family members expressed their gratitude to KTR for supporting her studies.
