The coalition government is preparing to provide financial assistance under the second phase of the Netannala Sevalo scheme. As part of this, the process of identifying the beneficiaries is in full swing, said State Handloom and Textiles Minister S. Savita.

The Netannala Sevalo scheme was launched on the occasion of National Handloom Day from August 7th.

Applications have been received from beneficiaries to provide financial assistance in the second phase. He said that 36,632 applications have been received from across the state. He said that the deadline for selecting the eligible candidates ended on September 30th.

Minister Savita said that since the applications have to be scrutinized and the identification of the eligible candidates has to be completed, the deadline has been extended to the third of next month. He ordered the handloom officials to visit the homes of the applicants and select the beneficiaries in a transparent manner.

He said that the coalition government is giving high priority to the welfare of handloom weavers. He said that welfare and development are being carried out so that every weaver gets economic benefits.
