Potti Sriramulu Telugu University is taking a step forward by giving priority to the preservation of Telugu language, literature, culture and heritage with Rajamahendravaram as its center, said the university’s Vice President Acharya D. Muniratnam Naidu.
In honor of the Godavari Pushkaram to be held in 2027, he said that they have started an activity to prepare comprehensive research books on the history of the Godavari river, Telugu language and literature, arts, history, culture, the importance of the river basin and other topics and unveil them during the Pushkaram.

A one-day national conference titled ‘Rajamahendravaram Sahithi Vaibhavam’ was organized at Potti Sriramulu Telugu University in Bommur on Tuesday.
Keeping in mind the 2027 Godavari Pushkaram, he said that valuable research information will be collected on the history, literature, arts, culture and other topics related to the Godavari region through special conferences every month for five months. Acharya D. Muniratnam Naidu said.
He said that 25 researchers have registered their names as paper presenters for today’s conference and arrangements have been made for the presentation of research papers through two parallel conferences. He said that the research articles presented in the conferences will be reviewed by an expert committee and authentic research will be selected and compiled into books. He revealed that these books will be launched on the occasion of the 2027 Godavari Pushkaram.
He said that the university’s courses are successfully continuing in the main center in Rajamahendravaram as well as in the Srisailam and Kuchipudi campuses. He explained that the syllabus design has been completed and proposals have been sent to the government to introduce many important courses from 26 departments popular in Hyderabad in the Rajamahendravaram center as well. He urged researchers, academicians and students to participate widely in these programs for the development of Telugu language and culture.
The Registrar said that national conferences are being organized in a row to encourage extensive research on Godavari culture and Telugu language and literature to commemorate the 2027 Godavari Pushkaram. He urged researchers, literary figures and academicians to take advantage of these programs.

University Registrar Munugu Srinivasa Rao said that Rajahmundry has been the foundation of Telugu culture. He said that it is everyone’s responsibility to further develop the Telugu University, which was established with the ideals of the late Dr. Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, with Rajahmundry as its center.
