Rajahmundry YSRCP former MP Bharat Ram asked for a white paper to be released immediately on the Godavari Pushkaram works, and what facilities will be provided to them as it is estimated that 10 crore people will come to the Godavari Pushkaram.  Bharat said that it is ironic to say that law and order has been weakened in the city and that there are no CCTV cameras working some where to catch criminals.

He said that it has been two and a half years since the coalition government came to power, but no problem has been solved. He demanded that the main road of the railway station be widened to 80 feet. He clarified that the agreement made by the municipal corporation with the railway department in the past should be implemented on this.

He said that drains were installed under the railway bridge at the junior college in discussion with the railway department to ensure smooth drainage of sewage, are they working now? Or not?  He explained to the Commissioner that it came to our attention that the water was stagnating a lot due to the layouts in the surrounding areas and closing those pipes.

He said that the problem of flooding at Kambalacheruvu and the railway station is very serious when it rains, and why are no steps being taken to solve it. He said that a pumping station was constructed at Kambalacheruvu but it was left unused.

He demanded a vigilance inquiry into the ongoing development works in the city. Bharat alleged that small contractors are getting the works done by big contractors in the name of ready mix instead of doing the work and committing corruption.
He explained to the Commissioner that the town planning officials are encouraging them to build against the rules by obstructing the order issued in August 2025.

He said that funds were raised for the construction of a 30 MLD STP plant during the YSRCP government when he was an MP, but the work has not been completed yet.  The Indian Commissioner was requested to take steps to complete and commission the STP plant immediately.
