Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh has revealed that for the first time, the World Tourism Day celebrations are being held in Rajahmundry with great pomp.
He said that these celebrations are being officially organized not only in Rajahmundry but also in every district center of the state. He said that District In-charge Minister Nimmala Ramanaidu will be the chief guest at the International Tourism Day celebrations to be held at Manjeera Hotel.
He said that under the guidance of CM Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, the ‘Rajahmundry Declaration’ is being announced with new activities related to the tourism sector.
Minister Durgesh announced that information and information about the places in 130 tourist destinations in the state is being made available to tourists through Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology in 130 languages. He said that this program will be launched on Sunday.

He said that Rs. 428 crore has been sanctioned for 8 tourism projects in the state with the support of the central government. He said that steps have been taken to set up light and sound shows in Borra caves and 3, 5 and 7 star hotels in tourist areas. He said that steps have been taken to further develop the temples with the help of the central government under the Prasad scheme.
With the approval of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, a final decision will be taken soon on the use of Rushikonda Palace. Prestigious group hotels like Taj Group, Leela Hotel Group and Atmosphere Core have come forward and an appropriate decision will be taken as per the interest of the investors.
Minister Durgesh said that preparations are being made to organize the Godavari Pushkaram to be held in 2027 in a very prestigious and magnificent manner. He said that ‘The Godavari Calls’ program is being organized on the occasion of International Tourism Day as a curtain raiser for the Pushkaram.
He said that tourism road shows will be organized at the national and international levels soon and the tourism sector will be widely promoted. He said that Oberoi Hotel is willing to set up in Pichukalanka near Rajamahendravaram. Similarly, a person from Anaparthi has come forward to set up a film studio, star hotel and resort.. Chaitanya Raju and Gandi Bhaskar Rao revealed that they are setting up a resort on their own land.
Minister Durgesh said that the coalition government is bringing back the glory of the neglected art sector. He said that the Nandi Film Awards will be held in Vijayawada or Amaravati in December and the Nandi TV Awards will be presented in Tirupati.
He said that the Nandi Drama Festival will be held in Tenali in January and Kandukuri awards will be presented to drama artists.
