In a democracy, not only when in power, but also when in opposition, every political leader has the responsibility to answer the people.
During the tenure of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who ruled as the Chief Minister for five years from 2019 to 2024, corruption has been coming out in every department in the state.
If so many irregularities and such brutal exploitation are being exposed, does Jagan not have the responsibility to speak out as a former Chief Minister? MLC Varla Ramaiah stated.
Speaking at a media conference held at the TDP central office today, Varla Ramaiah questioned Jagan Mohan Reddy whether he has the responsibility to answer the questions being asked by the people if so many corruption stains are being exposed on the state.
Recently, a Rs. 3,500 crore liquor scam was exposed. The root cause of this huge scam is Jagan Mohan Reddy. The bribes in this went directly to Tadepalli Palace. Varla Ramaiah has flagged that Jagan is bypassing this without answering.
Dodda Venkata Satyaprasad, the then OSD of AP Beverages Corporation, himself told me not to take him as an approver. Ramaiah stated that he clearly revealed that the formation of the liquor syndicate, policy changes, and the entire master plan related to the scam took place in the Tadepalli Palace, which was the camp office of the Chief Minister.
Didn’t Jagan’s team threaten the distilleries and collect 20 percent commissions by threatening them to explain why the CTAL software, which is very well-functioning under the government, was removed? Ramaiah said, that Jagan, with the support of the then CM OSD Krishnamohan Reddy and Chief Secretary Dhanunjay Reddy, who ran everything himself in the CMO, obstructed the systems and looted thousands of crores.

Varla Ramaiah criticized that many atrocities had taken place in the APPSC during Jagan Mohan Reddy’s five-year rule and that Gautam Sawang and Ramanjaneyulu had completely corrupted the system. Ramayya said.
